November: Gratitude & My Sexy Advent Calendar
November has been a quieter month, I needed some chill time before December starts. I have some cool events coming up in December, a little heads up I like to share where I'll be on my instagram story.
Also I have been feeling really good lately, so I thought I'd share some of that positivity with you.
And thank you for the comments on my last few blog posts; Confessions of a British Born Jamaican & My Body Confidence Journey. I love improvised and personal posts, I always get the best responses. I feel so relieved when someone gets it, that reassurance is all I need sometimes.
Just in case you missed my instagram story....
Friday 1st December - Moor Hair: Made With Love Fair
Monday 4th December - BHBC (Black Hair & Beauty Chat) Social
Saturday 9th December - Master Class Media: Friendtor
Monday 11th December - #AdzviceLetsTalk 'Men vs Women: Understanding the other side'
Friday 22nd December - Ordinal Flava's Caribbean Xmas Dinner & Dancehall
Feeling super grateful this month, I have felt a shift in my confidence and it's making it that little bit easier to be grateful. The cloud is lifting, everything is looking brighter. I am able to be more appreciative, instead of dismissive. It was easier to discredit myself, now it's easier to pat myself on the back.
I spoke on this shift in my confidence in my last post - My Body Confidence Journey
I think I have stopped putting so much pressure on myself and used that freedom to give thanks for what I have and who I have in my life. Family is so important to me, I don't see them as much as I would like to, It's something I'm going to work on. More quality time with the fam is needed.
Sexy Advent Calendar
Your advent calendar reveals chocolates during the run up to Christmas. Whereas the one I got from OJ reveals tips on improving your solo play. I'm pretty sure my mum and sister thought I was joking when I told them this was coming. If only I recorded their faces when I revealed this to them lol, priceless.
I'm pretty sure this is considered self care?...
All jokes aside, I'm at a place right now where I'm not as worried about expressing my sexuality as I used to be. I guess this is a good way to introduce this side of me to my blog. I wasn't sure how to get into the topic of sexuality on my blog, I have discussed sex before here. However I haven't really touched on the personal bits, simply because I had no real place for it on my blog.
I'm still on this journey of self discovery, I can't say I'm this super sexually confident woman now, but I have been exploring new sides to my personality. It's been an interesting journey so far, when I figure out how to word what I want to say then I will go into slightly more detail. For now make sure you're following me on Instagram, as I will be opening each door on my instagram stories.
Sharing is caring and all that
I am terrified and excited all at the same time. Pretty surprised I have been sleeping, then again it will be the day before that I struggle to sleep. Pray for me guys lol. All will be revealed very soon.
I am now deep conditioning every week, I want to see if this will encourage my hair growth. My hair always gets to the same length and then nothing happens. I know our hair is constantly growing and that there are fast and slow periods but the slow periods fell like nothing is happening. Also I think deep conditioning every week will help me to retain moisture.
I wanted to know what deep conditioners you would recommend. I currently have three that I am alternating between:
Bourn Beautiful Naturals - Coconut Cream Deep Conditioner
Mielle Organics - Babassu Oil Mint Deep Conditioner
ElastaQP - Soy Oyl Moisture Rich deep Conditioner
I haven't updated you on my current favourite tracks in while. I have been loving Kelela's new album and Alex Isley has been bumping through my speakers for weeks now.
Toulouse - Reach Out
Malika - Run
112 - U Already Know
Method Man & Ginuwine - Let's Ride
Donell Jones - Pushin'
Let me know how your November went and what have you got planned for December? Also if there are any events you think I might be interested in feel free to let me know.
